New Year, High Hopes!

What's In My Mug: Dunkin Donuts Gingerbread Cookie. It's pretty good. What's On My Needles: * A test knit. I'm using Elsebeth Lavold Silky Tweed in the Claret colorway. * Socks for a KAL. Using Knit Picks Comfy in Blackberry (this is my favorite color from KP) That's it! So, 2012 was an awful year for me, and I'm determined to make 2013 much better, even if the only way I can do that is to change my attitude towards things out of my control... I've joined a group on Ravelry to try to keep me accountable for the goals I've set for the year. It also helps that my goals are pretty realistic, so even if the year goes differently than planned, I should still be able to stay on track. My List of 13 things to do 13 times in 2013: •Blog posts written •Geocaches found •Pair of socks knitted •Items knit from the queue •Skeins of yarn from stash either used or gifted •Days max b/w letters received and response written to penpal •Items from my Etsy favorites bought •New coffees tried •Meetings/drill attended at rescue squad •Scrapbook pages done (this is a biggie as I managed 0 in 2012) •New recipes made •Nights camping •New places visited Ok, there it is. In print for the second time. Does this make it that much more likely to be successful? We'll see... To end this post, I'll share a picture of a beautiful quilt I saw at a quilt show in 2011. It always makes me smile.
